How to change the Start Screen Background of a Windows 8 OS

With the launching of Windows 8, the concept of normal desktop view has changed. Acknowledged for bold step into the tablet market, but criticized by many who wish to use the familiar desktop experience. The difficulty they feel while interact with new updated OS is that "Start Screen".

Microsoft don't allow users to skip this normal start up procedure , that prevent you from directing to desktop as in the case of normal OS. In addition to it you have very few option for "customizing" the start screen, 10 selectable background images with finger countable color options.

One little trick I can offer is, editing the "System file" but this limits to only 256-color background images. This is what people are going to do but you know the result won't be quite optimal. Enter Decor8. Stardock’s latest Windows 8 customization app removes this limitation by giving users the ability to pick any picture they want, regardless of size or color range, as the Start screen background.

Once reached Decor8 you get a set of background images that to choose for setting up for your Window's 8 "Start Screen" or "Desktop Background Image", and also a set of wallpapers that Stardock ships with the app.

You get the usual fill, fit, tile and center options available in the classic desktop, and the program will automatically create a color scheme to match each of your background images -or you can manually customize the color scheme if you’re so ....  It also let you use your own images and photo as your background of Windows 8 and to chose multiple background images by holding down Ctrl key with a time interval to rotate frequently.

Sadly, Decor8 is not free. Stardock offers a free 30-day trial but otherwise $4.99 for the app. I think it is quite disturbing to pay for such basic function but if you wish to customize these option it is better to choose what we recommended here.
